Principia Impostura 2018

Principia Impostura 2018

“Woe to the lukewarm. Shame on him who is ashamed. Woe to and shame on him who is ashamed. The question here is not so much to believe or not to believe. Shame on the man who would deny his faith to avoid ridicule, to avoid being laughed at, to avoid being branded a fool. The question here concerns the man who does not trouble to find out whether he believes or does not believe.”Charles Peguy

Principia Impostura you ask. Why? Yes, I say. Principles & Imposture.  These things bother me.

“Its Frightening to be Challenged on What You Preach.”

WHY?

Principles are much harder to buy with gold than the world is told. You cant eat gold! And imposture is, well, while it appears to be all around its one of those things everyone pretends to abhor, to look down on, but I think secretly you admire. Pretense and Treasure are the gods, the religion of the 21st Century.

So, Principia Impostura is my attempt to find a forum where I can ask the questions the youth roll their eyes at. Where I can hopefully get some reasonable, satisfying answers to make my life and the history of the world make just a little more sense. Because kids, it doesnt make any sense at all. Has my life really been that much of a waste, all the endeavours of man been so futile that they can be dismissed with the wave of a hand and a roll of the eyes. I Think not!

No censorship whatsoever. If you wish to comment please do. I you have something intelligent to say then go for it. If the question needs to be asked then it should be asked. If we think things, then we do. There is no gaol for thought, nor should there be – now there’s a principle to die for.

Lets see how it goes. I want to learn something new. Everyday.

What principles do we live by? Are principles important anymore? Our politicians dont seem to hold any principles that we can follow, do we hold them to account? Do we pay them to lead us or do we pay them to follow our principles and create the honest, the sincere society we want? What do we want? Do we want the ‘progress’ that has always been promised to the future? Do we want Equity, equality? Are they the same? Does it matter?

The author fumbling through ‘principle fluidity and other trash.
