Please Bob, Don’t Dribble on the King’s Imagination.

How interesting it is that all these ideals of social justice and responsibility have suddenly come together as saviours of the neoliberal nightmare. Socialism, and a steady and open moral compass, to the rescue of gross theft, negligence and the petty protectionism of our societal elite. My, my, who’d a ever thought! Dirty Dutton must be rolling in his au pairs … Poor soul.

Of course, deeply at the heart of the matter, this neo profession of social conscience by our great leaders has nothing to do with either political justice or humanitarian values .. its all about the protection of the status quo.

I’ve just read a funny book about the phenomenon of the loss of human knowledge in this age of information. It would be a tragedy if it were actually so. The knowledge isn’t lost, it’s just that we’ve decided that it’s better to be ignorant, to raise compliant children and that by ‘creating’ more ignorant human beings, by making the children more pliable, from a ‘control’ point of view, our generous governments will bestow a richer future on us and our kinds.

So, now in his wisdom – and we have apparently acquiesced – the king’s ordered our parliaments to be shut down (something him and his clique have been attempting for the past twenty years) … And, while this, ordinarily, could be considered nothing more than good sense during a socialist contagion, with ‘governments’ such as Morrison’s and Trump’s its the last thing any honest professing democrat should feel comfortable with. Do we not have the technology?

No parliament SHOULD mean that no bill of law can be passed because without debate and the participation of the entire country, no laws can be made valid other than through the use of force. And you can bet the King’s bottom dollar that he’s going to be reelin’ out law after draconian law over the next few months – all in our interests of course!

Of course, while the suspension of a parliament should be no cause for concern in a country of democrats with social conscience and steady moral compasses guiding the communities, it should in fact, just go to prove how little we need the obscene expense of full time representatives at any time. Only the self interested importance of the representatives themselves create the lie of their ‘elite policing mentalities’ being of some special benefit to us misbegotten plebs, and that somehow, without them watching, and directing our every move, that our lives would generate into miserable equity!

Suspending our parliament means leaving the details of our lives and our children’s future’s to men of the ‘qualities’ of a Scott Morrison, a Christian Porter, a Pistol Pete Dutton or in fact, even a Donnie Trump, it means that we play Russian Roulette with our lives, our future, and most importantly, our Democracy. Worse, we allow immoral, secretive exclusionists – with no concept or belief in shared futures – to play Russian Roulette with us! Who dares wins? Do we dare?

What, or who, on earth would gift these thugs an enclave of secrecy and deceit – authorised by Democracy! – after these past three years of democratic and human rights abuse, the wanton misuse of public money at the expense of the vaste majority of the Aussie people it’s stolen from (Which of course they like to refer to as management)?… Crimes for which, real or imagined, any ordinary dignified and honest Australian would be thrown in gaol for et al. Willingly we allow this crowd of fascists to make our decisions for us? Willingly?

Not bloody likely! What crimes will these men commit when ‘legally’ hidden from the rest of us? When they are prepared to deceive and to commit morally corrupt acts on our behalf which are patently not in our interests, when they are forced – as they say – to be fully accountable and transparent to the population they serve … and whom they shame – during an ordinary year of peaceful and prosperous neoliberalism!

Now of course, I should be shouted down for clinging to democratic principles in the midst of this unprecedented economic crisis – I say economic, because that’s really the only thing concerning our great leaders; their investments, their pensions, their positions etc. I suppose I can expect a grandly proclaimed ‘Shame, shame Mitchell, now is not the time … Once we get through with this crisis and the king’s protected our entitlements, our dosh, from the hoards of less fortunates, then, then Mitchell, we’ll start whispering about democracy again.’ Let’s do hope we get back that right. Eh!

“The true value of a man is not determined by his possession, supposed or real, of Truth, but rather by his sincere exertion to get to the Truth. It is not the possession of the Truth, but rather the pursuit of Truth by which he extends his powers and in which his ever-growing perfectibility is to be found. Possession makes one passive, indolent, and proud. If god were to hold all Truth concealed in his right hand, and in his left only the steady diligent drive for Truth, albeit with the proviso that I would always and forever err in the process, and to offer me the choice, I would with all humility take the left hand.” – Gotthold Lessing, Anti-Goeze (1778).
