Democracy or Fascism; Future or No Future.
“But he who looks to the perfect law – the law of liberty – and perseveres, not just hearers who forget, but doers who act, shall be blessed in their doing” – (James 1:23,25)
Well, they finally got it right. This election is about the future. Do we have one or not. The NeoLiberal Kings version – myopic, self centred and short. A future for him and his kids he says, a future of smog and smug and tailings, a future of government water sold to the highest bidder, of government energy, of gaols, detention camps and forced useless labour. A future of 1st, 2nd & 3rd class citizens .. a future of war and gods and potential Dribble-down, a future of fear and punishments where your children will NOT be allowed to protest, to rally .. a future of chains and deceit. No future.
And the other side? Those 70% opposed to myopia, opposed to the destruction of the earth for the short duration of rule by divine right, a future where open education and free speech will be allowed for all the children and not just a Kings. A future that includes all of us where no one will slave away pointlessly just to stay out of the hands of punishment. A future where we may keep our gods at home to ourselves and not foister their ignorance on others. A future of fresh air and sunshine and progress rather than the dark and evil future of priests. A future.
Its a referendum of Basic Human Rights, our Earth & the definition of ‘Future’, that’s what this election is really all about. Its about inclusiveness and equity, all else is white wash and deceit. This time is the time. The time to decide whether the country goes forward and deals with the problems of the whole world, after all we are a part of it and we’ve helped it become what it is, or we put our heads back into the golden sandpit and pretend that we have a say, pretend that we have reached the apex of civilisation and that gods earth is now ours, only ours and eternal.
The choice is Fascism or Democracy .. it actually is as simple as that.
“Domestic peace is based on fear – it is the conservative view in excelsis.” – Denby
