No Collusion in Corruption.

No Collusion in Corruption.

Surely it would be cheaper, less admin costs, if the King was to give our dosh directly to his Corporate buddies rather than to a bunch of Aussies of the second or third class?

Has this man no shame? Not only is he prepared to bribe us Aussies with good character, the very act of this bribery – should we accept it – taints our good character. As a collective mass we should say, “No King, don’t blacken us with your neoliberal corruption we don’t want to be dragged into the mire you and your divine rights inhabit.” Just because greed is good for you doesn’t mean that good Aussies wish to be dragged into your noble theft, and if we accept this pittance stolen from us by you .. then we collude in your corruption & our good character sufferers.

Offering bribes is, arguably, more morally corrupt than accepting them .. and it should be illegal too. I don’t want it!

I most definitely won’t be handing it on to the Electricity Corporates and I most definitely won’t be using it to get my pills tested. I may buy pills with it. If you do give me this handout, which in your words ‘has been stolen from our children’s future’, I may pay it into a ‘GetUp’ fund, the Australian Republic or indeed any other organisation of social conscience but I most certainly won’t be handing it out to a corporation that cannot find the way to pay their taxes.

The reality is of course that its unlikely that the King will release this stolen cash to the people its been stolen from .. its an election bribe, I mean, promise. Now promises – other than to be cowed by the rule by fear of law – from such men as the King’s, have as much worth as Union Jack lapel pins – which, by the way, we paid for!
