Now forgive me for being such a dumb cunt, but why are all of our refugees up on Manus & Nauru criminals?

Now we have Air Vice-Marshal Osbourne telling us that these poor people and their children are criminals. Me, being an Aussie, a not so proud anymore Aussie, would just like to know what it is that our refugees have been convicted of? When I was a proud Aussie I prided myself on being up with the news of the world, always thought of myself as intelligent and enquiring, fair, humane and discerning. I was proud that Australia was a democratic land, was proud of the fact that the Westminster System of Justice upheld such ideals as: Innocent until proven Guilty. I was proud that our system of Justice was open and inclusive.

Somehow it doesn’t seem right that we can have a couple of morons like Pistol Pete and now this .. Vice Marshal, banging on about all these criminals we’re torturing out in our Colonies. I’ve missed something – have I? – I don’t remember a trial, don’t remember even hearing about just what these ‘criminals’ have been accused of … It doesn’t seem right that we haven’t had a trial because I do like a good trial.

Sure, it looks like were going to have a few good trials over the next year or so what with this new public Anti-Corruption push, and I suppose that this a trial of the process .. Public Show Trials. I’d expect that once we can finalize what a corrupt politician actually is – and I’m at a loss as to why it appears so difficult to ascertain this, after all we only have to take a look at the King and his Merry Men to find all the right clues – then we can subject them to torture in order to prove their innocence.

I don’t think that’s actually how its supposed to be done, but hell, it sure sounds like fun. My only stipulation – by way of improvement to the System – is that we put it on prime time free to air TV. That’ll really put a good dose of fear of law into the bastards .. and should go a fair way to cowing the children of Australia’s bright and shining future.

Oh, I can’t wait. We’d have to give all the felons a new Armani suit and a bit of bling for their trials just to make it look authentic … I’m guessing the King and his Criminals will all want Armani Drizabones for theirs – paid for out of the public purse of course.
