What a week we’ve had … Finally. It seems that this week Australia woke up and remembered that though we’re not a democracy, we keep getting told that we are a Democracy. Not since the 1960s,70s and 80s have we witnessed democracy in action.

And who’d a thought, the children of the 2020s! After the past few decades of pathetic pandering to self interest of their Mums and Dads .. the kids, at last, broke through the cotton wool barrier. They thought about the future, the real future and got of their arses and had a rally.

True, there’s a fair bit of self interest in it, but the cause is good, it’s real.

The King must be shaking in his hobnail boots. Livid he is. No wonder the head thug took the week off .. a week where we’ve defined corruption for the Attorney General, remembered Gough amd democracy, and cleared some air. Certainly a week to remember. Now that the kids have made history .. perhaps they can see that the lessons of history count. Or at least should.

So, whats next? There’s more days left in the school term than the King wants to have in parliament next year. Let’s get the poor foreign kids off our penal islands for Christmas .. we can have a big welcome to Australia BBQ in the Botanical Gardens for them – a decent Christmas – and we can surely arrange to get their drugs tested without draconian thugs and sniffing dogs about, and it can be a good day out for all  in the name of the future. What else, kids? Lets get that voting age down, a Bill of Rights that applies to ALL of us and a Republican Constitution.

And kids, please don’t forget that some of us real old folk were young too. And kids, WE ARE WITH YOU!
