Our King Considers ..
The king says he’s going to ‘debate seriously’ whether he’s going to enforce another draconian edict upon the country – for our own good, of course. Such a simple statement brings up so many delicious questions and so much interesting thought amongst those not yet cowed in their thought.
In the first place, it’s doubtful that the king would know what serious debate is. I mean, whose he going to debate it with? Certainly not us, the people he’s supposed to work for – he hasnt bothered to do that yet. No, if he condescends to debate it at all it will be behind some closet door with a couple of his string pullers. He does realise, doesn’t he, that all these discretionary edicts lapse on the change of each minister? And you’ve gotta admit that these neoLibs treat government as a game of pass the parcel. I think part of their extremism rests on the fact that they dont think that we, the Australian People, realise the qualities of our ancient Constitution and you can’t blame the bastards for failing to inform us of this fact, now can you? After all they’re not exactly honest.
I’m hearing, or reading, between the lines that he’s talking about punishing Aussies for having individual thought patterns – that is, one not in line with his. That’s a very fundamentalist train he follows. I can’t see much difference between his phobia of Islam and the forcing of his ideals based on the supposed teachings of his Christ? Sure, sure, he gets to go home and pray to his god for our forgiveness and we just get to pay for his sins. But a sin of omission bears much the same weight as his sins of commission – that is, if I read the teaching of his Christ correctly? No doubt I don’t, but then I’m not immersed in fundamentalism to the extent the king is, nor to the extent that he believes all the rest of Australia should be. Granted his State Security department treats us all like criminal idiots who wouldn’t recognise our own interests even if we were deported for them .. or perhaps until enough of us are deported for them. Advance Australia.
Gotta keep reminding myself that there’s at least 49.4% of Australia who don’t follow the kings reasoning nor have very much regard for his debating skills – I say, ‘at least’ because its gotta be remembered that this king was never elected by us – true those numbers may be different now, especially if his numbers man Stuart Robert is doing the counting, but surely if he is going to debate fundamentalism we should get some sort of participation in the debate – shouldn’t we?
Or should we just wait until he, or one of his boys, usurps the Australian Throne again?
