The Puffed Up Man.

The Puffed Up Man.

“They’re just using their numbers to play politics.”

Ahh, to use a standard phrase of Miss Mandy’s, ..’ well hello, durr!’ … Ain’t that the name of the game these days? How is it we can accept this sort of ignorance from these neo-liberal cretins? No wonder our children are so heartless, so disinterested in what’s going on in the world. This claptrap is the neoLibs answer to the fact that a parliamentary ethics committee ‘apparently’ made up of Greens & Labor found that Dirty Dutton had exceeded his brief and deceived both parliament and therefore us, the people of Australia, in his pandering to the corporate world by providing them with foreign au pairs. They’re just using their numbers to play politics!

Well, at least the Greens and the majority of Labor representatives have signed up to the Fitzgerald Principles – and we can hold them accountable. The neoLibs? Not on our lives! The Nats? Not on our water! On this basis, the people of Australia can only side with the Greens & Labor.

Once again the New Guard debase democratic parliamentary process. Shnotty says, rubbish, the guys a fuckin angel! He’s gonna be lord of state security for life – keep making law for those who havent even been born yet.

Such dangerous methods to teach children Shnotty. What a way to educate our future. No wonder previously intelligent and socially conscious people retreat into their own little worlds. This can only be bad for the ‘notion’ of community, or society .. if you like. It can only have an adverse affect on the coherence & integrity of our communities. And you wonder why so many disadvantaged Aussies suffer from despair & mental illness.

“Men will not always die quietly. For starvation, which brings to some lethargy & helpless despair, drives other temperaments to the nervous instability of hysteria and to mad despair. And these in their distress may overturn the remnants of organisation, and submerge civilization itself in their attempts to satisfy desperately the overwhelming needs of the individual.” – John Maynard Keynes.
